More of What You Need to Know About Your Website Traffic is Contained in 3 Other Key Stats

Their is an old Saying it goes something like this 'Figures Lie and Liars figures. While it is true that you can skew Statistics anyway you want, it is also true that with properly gathered statistics you can learn a great deal about your web site traffic if you know what to look for.

In a previous Article 'All You Need to Know About Your Website Traffic is Contained in 5 Key Stats' I discussed AWStats and 5 key areas related to Search Engine, Back Links and Reciprocal Links. In this article we will learn how to use a few more Statistics from AWStats.

Most Web Hosts will provide you with a Cpanel, where you can create E-mail Accounts, Upload Web Pages and check your stats. Most of the Cpanel's are very similar if not identical to the one my Hosts uses.

When it is time to check my web page traffic statistics I click on Log and then Web/FTP Stats and finally AWStats. I am now presented with a List of Stats to look at. This Article will discuss

Navigation: Full list
Navigation: Entry
Navigation: Exit

1 - Navigation: Full list

This will list all of your web pages that were visited and how many times they were visited. If you have web pages about sports and you notice that your golf pages were visited the most and your Bowling pages are visited least. You may want to think about either how to make a bigger profit by having more golf pages. You may also want to see what you can do to make your bowling pages more popular.

2 - Navigation: Entry

This is a very important stat. It will tell which was the first web page each visitor saw. You should look for patterns. If you have been trying very hard to send traffic to your buckwheat pillow pages is it working? Are you surprised to learn that your loan page is doing well but your life insurance page isn't? You may want to look at your pages that are performing well and see if you notice patterns that you can apply to other pages.

3 - Navigation: Exit This stat tells you which was the last page each visitor saw. A good way to use this page is to do split testing. You have 10 pages about golf. You want to send your golf page visitors to a golf vacation-planning page. By creating 2 different golf vacation planning pages you can see which method link methods works best.

Downline Communication in Network Marketing

Maintaining communication with your downline is extremely important in Network Marketing or MLM, it can literally be the determining factor that differentiates a failing business, from a successful one. The number one mistake that novice network marketers make is not maintaining close communication with their downlines.

Even if you do something simple, like a personal email just saying hello every day can be what keeps your downline active. Network Marketing is above all a people business, and in order to be successful as a networker, you need to be networking. Daily emails, maybe a postcard, or a phone call every other week or so can go a very long ways with an individual. It also builds trust and relationship with the people in your downline. The more out of touch someone is with you, the more likely they are to move on to greener pastors.

Since Network Marketing is an industry in which we are constantly learning new things, and constantly discovering new ideas and marketing techniques to promote our business, the topics upon which you can discuss with your downline are nearly limitless. You can talk to them about what marketing tactics you have been using successfully, you can ask for their input, or share tools and resources. Building a business needs to be a team effort.

While communicating with your downline, you dont want to take the position of go to guy, while you want your downline to respect and listen to you, you also want these people to become leaders themselves. Communication with your downline should also promote leadership amongst those beneath you, insuring that your efforts in building business will be duplicated.

Inactive downlines happen for many reasons, but the most common reason is total lack of communication from upline members. A newcomer to the Network Marketing industry is likely to be overwhelmed with the amount of information they need to process in order to be able to effectively promote and be successful in this industry. It is the duty of the upline to make sure these people find the right tools, get the right training, and are able to perform in this industry.

Whatever marketing system you are using should be duplicated at nearly 100% with your downline. Whatever YOU are doing to build your business, your downline members should also be doing. People cannot be duplicated, but marketing systems can. When building business you have to understand this, and be able to communicate this truth to your downline. Duplicating marketing systems is another HUGE reason why you want to stay in contact with your downline, they need to be dong everything you are doing. Especially if you are highly successful and signing up members like crazy into your downline.

Shy individuals need to break their habit when coming into Network Marketing. You have to be able to talk to anyone and everyone about your business and opportunity, and constantly be promoting and looking to pull new members into your downline. Only through mass promotion do people find success in Network Marketing, and until your downline is able to duplicate this, you have to be able to hold their hand until they are ready. This requires communication.

Auto responders, automated follow up, and all these systems are great for assisting you in communicating with your downline. But nothing beats individual contact, if you can implement that into your business you will have amazing success. What is Cybersquatting and What Can Be Done About It? ACPA or UDRP?

Have you ever had a third party register a domain name that is either exactly the same or very similar to your trademark? If so, it may be a Cybersquatting issue. Cybersquatting is registering, trafficking in, or using a domain name with a bad-faith intent to profit from the goodwill of a trademark belonging to someone else. To address this issue, Congress enacted what is known as the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act ("ACPA"). The ACPA amended the Lanham Act by providing trademark owners with a civil remedy against cybersquatting.

If youre not sure how this may affect your business, lets run through some examples. The typical scenario is that the name of your product, or your company name is a registered trademark (or a strong common law trademark). However, you failed to register the domain name for whatever reason. Joe Schmo cybersquatter decides to beat you to the punch and registers the domain name of your trademark. He may have even registered plural versions or misspellings of your trademark as well (this is known as typosquatting). Joe Schmo cybersquatter is simply holding the domain name for ransom hoping to sell it back to you for a nice profit, or he may decide to keep domain name knowing that he will get a lot of traffic to his websites. The cybersquatter may sell products similar to yours or is simply engaged in affiliate marketing and makes money off of the clicks on his website. These situations can obviously cause consumer confusion and can easily cause lost profits to your company and dilution of your trademark(s) as well.

One avenue of recourse is filing an ACPA claim in federal court. The Plaintiff in an Anti-Cybersquatting suit must establish:

1.The Defendant has a bad faith intent to profit from the mark, including a defendant name which is protected as a mark;
2.registers, traffics in, or uses a domain name that--

(I) in the case of a mark that is distinctive at the time of registration of the domain name, is identical or confusingly similar to that mark;

(II) in the case of a famous mark that is famous at the time of registration of the domain name, is identical or confusingly similar to or dilutive of that mark; or

(III) is a trademark, word, or name protected by reason of 18 U.S.C. 706 (the Red Cross, the American National Red Cross or the Geneva cross) or 36 U.S.C. 220506

Its important to distinguish cases in which the cybersquatter is obviously acting in bad faith, from situations in which the individual simply registered the domain name with the intent of doing something else with it that is unrelated to trademark owners goods and/or services.

The ACPA excludes a finding of bad faith where the domain name holder reasonably believed that the use was fair use or otherwise lawful. Accordingly, bad faith is the biggest component in an ACPA claim. So what is bad faith? There are several elements the federal courts will consider such as:

The trademark ownership rights held by the mark owner;
The closeness of the domain name and the cybersquatters name;
The cybersquatters commercial use of the domain name for access to a web site;
The cybersquatters intent to divert web traffic from the mark owner;
The cybersquatters offer to sell the domain name to the mark owner;
Whether the cybersquatter gave misleading information in registering the domain name; and Similar or repeated cybersquatting on other marks.

For example, in Hasbro Inc. v. Clue Computing Inc. [66 F. Supp.2d 177 (D. Mass 2000)], the district court held that Clue Computings use of its registered domain name clue.com, was in fair use, despite Hasbros existing registration of the trademark Clue for its famous board game. The two companys fields in which the names were used were not related; Clue Computing had registered the disputed domain name first, used it in legitimate commerce, and not attempted to sell the domain name to Hasbro.

UDRP or ACPA?

So if youve concluded that someone has cybersquatted one of your trademarks, should you file a ACPA lawsuit? Before doing so, you should consult with your intellectual property attorney about other avenues such as the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP). UDPR is an ICANN-approved arbitration that resolves domain name disputes submitted to ICANN for resolution. Very often (nearly 75% of UDRP cases) results in the cancellation of the cybersquatters domain name registration. The standards to establish cybersquatting in UDRP cases for wrongful registration is very similar to ACPAs standards. Furthermore, UDRP proceedings are typically much less expensive and quicker (about 2-3 months total compared to ACPA which is federal litigation and may take years if not settled before trial). Another advantage with the UDRP is that its well suited for international domain name disputes because the hearings are ex parte (based only on filed documents; no witnesses or parties are present). UDRP can be used in addition to an ACPA litigation or possibly done before or after an ACPA ruling because UDRP rulings are not binding upon the courts. Also, UDRP findings may be appealed. This is a departure from most arbitration practice (www.icann.org/udrp).

However, the remedies in UDRP proceedings are limited to only transfers of the domain name. Compared to an ACPA litigation, the Plaintiff may obtain monetary damages, attorneys fees and costs (in exceptional cases), and/or an injunction, in addition to the cancellation or transfer of the improper web domain name to the original owner. Furthermore, under ACPA the Plaintiff has the option of suing for statutory damages for $1,000 to $100,000, as the court deems just under the circumstances.

4 Debt Reduction Tips

If you are overwhelmed by debt, there are options you can take that will help you pay off what you owe without the stigma of filing for bankruptcy. Well examine four ways you can get your debt under control and start working back on the road to financial recovery.

1. Contact your credit card companies. Ask each credit card company for help. They arent likely to forgive you your loan, but they may be willing to reduce your interest rate. If your interest rate is currently 12% or more, ask if they would be willing to cut their rate in half. Why would they consider doing this? Well, creditors do not want you to default on your loan and they want their principle back. Sure, a nice fat interest charge would be ideal too, but if they sense you are ready to default on your loan, you can expect that a lower rate will be offered instead.

2. Consider a debt consolidation loan. You can pull all of your debt together into one account, preferably one featuring a fixed, low interest rate. You can use the proceeds from the loan to pay back your other creditors and then make monthly payments back to the loan consolidator.

3. Home refinancing. Refinancing your loan may be just the debt reduction help you need as the funds saved by you each month with lower mortgage payments could be used to pay off other debt. Caution: you are placing your home at risk if you opt for this choice.

4. Visit a credit counselor. There are credit counseling companies who help consumers by offering debt reduction plans to tackle debt. Essentially the way this works is that you will meet with an advisor and lay out a plan to repay your loans. The counselor will negotiate with lenders on your behalf for the lower rate which, in turn, will reduce your monthly payments as well as keep your credit rating intact. Credit counselors work for private companies as well as for government agencies or nonprofit firms. Be careful: a lot of what these people do you can do on your own. Read the fine print to make sure you understand any fees involved; make sure that your credit rating is not adversely affected too.

Dont despair if you are well over your head in debt. Recent changes in U.S. bankruptcy laws have made filing for personal bankruptcy a less attractive option for consumers. Still, if it is your only resort visit an attorney specializing in personal bankruptcy to learn what your options are. Do not be bullied by anyone to make a decision that you will regret later.

Why Direct Sales is the Greatest Career for Women

Women are tired of the rat racetrying to do it all and stay sane. Today, they are leaving the corporate world and coming to network marketing and party plan companies in large numbers. 79.9% of all distributors are women. They have found a place where there is no glass ceiling and where they can have a career, raise their families, and make significant income from the comfort of their homes.

Women are natural networkers and natural nurturers. This profession allows them to meet new people, connect with and support other like-minded individuals. Women love doing business in the course of their lives waiting in line at the grocery store, at their clubs and civic activities or sitting in the bleachers at their childrens sporting events. In fact, my sister, who is a very successful direct seller, shared with me at my nephews last baseball that the Mother of every player on his team was either a customer, Consultant, or a hostess. She didnt waste a minute in those bleachers.

This form of free enterprise is a great training ground for children to be mentored by their parents. A direct selling business can provide women with the opportunity to teach their children money skills, people skills, business management, and more importantly, life skills.

I am proud to say I raised two entrepreneurial children with tremendous work ethic as a result of being raised in a direct selling home. They saw me work, earn income, lead others, set goals, win and sometimes lose. (I call these learning experiences.) It was during the learning experiences that my grown children say they gained the most. They saw me keep on keepin on.

When women choose this profession they are given a gift that can make a significant difference in the lives of their children and every person they touch their customers, their team and families. What a wonderful place to lead by example.

The flexibility of direct selling is also a big plus for married or single women with families. This business can be worked around the schedule of others. They may not make it to every activity that their children have, but they can make the majority. They can be there after school to hear about their day and enjoy the morning drive taking them to school without the pressure of fighting a commute. They can stay home with their kids when they are ill, without questions from the boss or fear of losing their job. They can be their own boss and they will undoubtedly be a great boss to themselves.

Many women start their direct selling careers on a part-time basis, either in conjunction with a full-time job or while raising small children. They have the opportunity to move to full-time when it is right for them and their families. There are no timelines or bosses pushing them to make career choices that are not in the best interest of their families.

A Car Tested By History

A car tested by history, the Corvette has been tested by time, and by the racing history of its linage, this car has with out a doubt stood up to every test that it has been put through, oh yeah it had its down time, that was called the 1980s for the Corvette, and a lot of people were wondering if it would make a come back, you might say that it has done just that.

Every car goes through its rough patches, its design flaws and its revisions, the Corvette is one of the best examples of longevity that any car company has ever seen, usually sports car and muscle cars come and go, but the Corvette has never went anywhere yet, it just seems to keep standing the test of time and evolving in to a better and better car.

You might say, what about the Mustang, while you brag about cars that stand that test of time, the Corvette was came out eleven years before the Mustang, just to lay that theory to rest, the Mustang was introduced to compete with the Corvette, and the Corvette was just the better car in most respects, handling, power and most of the other tests that it went through it did beat the Mustang in.

The Corvette has had a fantastic history the Chevrolet motor company, in 1953 Chevrolet hired Zora Arkus Duntov to design the Corvette, and that he did, he was the lead engineer on the Corvette project, and he made it do some amazing things, it would go on to keep amazing people right up to the latest model.

Zora joined General Motors in 1953 after seeing the Motorama Corvette on display in New York. Perhaps it was just fate that Zora happened to be among the thousands of people who attended the GM event. Zora found the car to be visually superb, but was disappointed with what was underneath. He wrote Chevrolet chief engineer Ed Cole that it would be his complement to work on such a beautiful car; he also included a technical paper, which proposed an analytical method of determining a car's top speed. Chevrolet was so impressed that engineer Maurice Olley invited him to come to Detroit. On May 1, 1953, Zora Arkus-Duntov started at Chevrolet as an assistant staff engineer.

In 1963 Zora would launch the Gran Sport program. The original idea captured the interest and imagination of Corvette fans all over the world. The idea was to create a special lightweight Corvette weighing only 1,800 pounds and race it on an international circuit against not only Cobras and other GT-Class cars, but also racing only prototypes from Ferrari, Ford and Porsche. Power for the Grand Sport was to come from an aluminum version of the small block V8, equipped with special twin-plug cylinder heads. At 377ci, output was a projected 550hp at 6,400 RPM. But as it had so often, GM policy prohibited Zora from going racing, but not before five Grand Sports were built. The five Grand Sports eventually fell into the hands of private owners, and Zora somehow found a way to support them in spite of the official ban.

Zora retired in 1975, turning the reins over to Dave McLellan. At 81 years of age, Zora Arkus-Duntov was still passionate and opinionated about his car, the Corvette. It was during the time between Zora's retirement and his death that his legend grew. When ever anything Corvette happened, Zora was there. A member of the Drag Racing Hall of Fame, the Chevrolet Legends of Performance, and the Automotive Hall of Fame, Zora took part in the rollout of the 1 Millionth Corvette at Bowling Green in 1992. He also drove the bulldozer at the ground-breaking ceremonies for the National Corvette Museum in 1994. Six week before his death, Zora was guest speaker at "Corvette: A Celebration of an American Dream", an evening held at the showrooms of Jack Cauley Chevrolet Detroit. On had that night were Dave McLellen and the Current Corvette chief engineer Dave Hill, but no one could argue that Zora stole the show.

In 1966 Chevrolet would have a brain burst, and build a beast called the L88 Corvette, which had a factory HP rating of 435, which was a serious under rating, the car was doing closer to 600 HP, in 1967 the Corvette would once again prove itself by winning the 24 hours of Lemans, against the likes of, Porsche and Ferrari, this time it would gain world wide recognition and become a real player in the sports car world, the USA was finally in with the big boys. The Corvette had made a big impression on the racing world.

This car could hold its own with the best the Europeans had to offer, it would drive sales through the roof for Chevrolet, it had succeeded beyond Chevrolets wildest dreams, and it qualified in two categories it was a sports car and a muscle car, the Corvette had done what no other American car had ever done before, the L88 Corvette was truly a car to behold.

And this wasnt the end of the amazing feats for this very special car, in 1969 a slip up would happen at the Chevrolet manufacturing plant, at the time they were building two very special cars for a couple of the big wigs at Chevrolet motor division, these cars were never supposed to be released to the general public, they were built to campaign at the race track, and were really race cars, not street cars.

The slip up would allow these two cars to leave the plant and be sold at two of Chevrolets showrooms, I dont know what showrooms they were, but these cars were called ZL1 Corvettes, and there was a white one built, and a Saturn yellow one, the yellow one got auctioned off after the government confiscated in a drug raid, it went for $500,000 at auction.

The Zl1 Corvette was rated at 450 HP from the factory, but estimates put it closer to an honest 670 HP, which made this car the highest horsepower car ever built during that time, and as you can imagine these cars are worth a lot of money today, if you could find one, they came from the factory with a roll bar and a lot of other racing attire, due to the fact that they were meant to race.
